What about the Panchen Lama?

This topic has been un-highlight by TRuth-home at 2-7-2008 19:41.
U pay Dalai some money, he can even appoint u as a living buddha or what they call Rinpoche? Just like that Shoko Asahara. Good friend of Dalai Lama giving over a million dollars to Dalai Lama convicted of mass murder by placing poison Sarin gas in  the Tokyo subway.
So, do u still believe that a lair Dalai Lama can still qualified to appoint his "puppet" Panchen Lama.?

What has the central government got to do with religion?. And what about the fact that Teh Dalai Lama apointed that little boy as his successor and then the Chinese govt removed him for "safekeeping"?

As far as I konw, Dalai and Panchen are both top spiritual leaders of one of the five sects of Tibetan Buddhism and according to the religious tradition, it's never for the Dalai Lama to appoint Panchen Erdeni's reincarnation or to approve his validity.  So it's very suspicious to me when the 14th Dalai Lama stirred up all this stuff.  Why?  He or his government-in-exile better has a good reason for that.

Chinese Government kidnapping a small boy they want to get rid of...... you know, thats not a very complex situation that "westerners" can't understand.

I was under the impression that the DL and the PL were separate in the rule of Tibet (not antagonistically so- they're monks!!) and so often had different views and followers.  The Chinese govt.'s retention of the PL was because he's too young to rule (so they say) and in danger.  I'd like to wait until he's old enough to make his own mind up and move back into Tibet before we judge the affect China's removal of him has had.

Tibetan-in-exile Government kidnapping a young boy in 1959 they want to get rid of .....you know, thats not a very complex situation that "westerners" can't be happy with.
After that, the young boy has been surrounded by the ideas of independent Tibet,Chinese murdured millions of Tibetans,Chinese  genociding Tibetan  culture,Chinese repressing Tibetans,Tibet V.S.China,so on on on and on.Then the young boy has been transformed into a complete another kind of man, whom westerners love so much.He himself stands for the combination of religion and politic.Yes,the mild and peaceful old man said he was not asking for an independent Tibet and he just wanted to be a monk. But you won't be so naive to think that his Greater Tibet issue is just one concerned pure religion. The great West abandoned the combination of religion and politic hundreds of years ago. Now,because of their sympathy to the mild old man, they threw the combination to China, they call that ""FREE TIBET""STOP KILLING TIEBETANS""HUMAN RIGHTS".Wow,what a great, advanced, kindhearted, moral and superior West!!

When you add the religious, political and social aspects, things do get very hairy "deathlibrarian". Thinking outside the box is a good thing
