To the OP
This is a common misinterpretation by the Chinese that I am going to talk about in my own thread. Whenever western media talks about "Chinese," "German" or "Iraqi" and its commenting on social/political affairs, its talking about the Government, not about the people of the country itself.
CNN (which this site is based against) has referred to "America" and "Americans" negatively many times, hell just watching it in the past week I've seen this, but its always talking about the government or about cultural institutions, not the people.
As far as the West wanting to hurt China, since when is this a fact? Not only has the west traded with China even against its own countries economic positions, but its given aid and exceptions to China many times in the past. Without the many trade deals (and several exceptions to customs regulations) that Chinese products get in the US, China would be without nearly $250 billion in income a year. We aren't even talking Eurozone yet.
As far as China's "support" of Tibet, hell, the American government set up "reservations" and poured millions of dollars into Native American economies and support. Does that make right any of the injustices? Not really, no.
