Respect!
Good video.
Allow me to insert the be-all, end-all counter argument:

"The Communist paid him to said that..."

FTW!

Fortunately there is still such a wise senator in France,

but unfortunately the majority of French politicians are unwise at all but crazy! Frankly, I'm really worried about the future of France-with lots of unwise politicians with ideologically prejudice that most Chinese gave up 15 years ago!!!
well.... i have a feeling after watching this video:

the key problem is: looks like all the westereners now believe that what happened in tibet in 3.14 was a

"VIOLATED REPRESSION"  They misunderstood from the beginning or they were deceived by prejudiced report by their so-called fair and balanced media.

the truth was: minor tibetans did sth which included as "crashing, hurning, ransack..." that hurt the social security. what chinese governement did was NOT OPPRESSION but stopped the situation going worsen!

I partly agree what this french senator said, for more i'd like to ask anybody who tends to hold the opinion of "anti-china" : please answer this question: if such rebellion happened in your country or just happened in front of you, it seems that your life is facing danger, now your governement assigned a troop of policemen even armed forces to supress the violence, whether you should feel "thankful" to this government or "furious" to such non human right activity?

yes, what happened in tibet was so easy that: tibetans who want independence burned, ransacked, crashed Han people's shops, houses; while such kind of activity should be named as CRIME but not as easy as a "PEACEFULLY PROTEST or A PUBLIC DEMONSTRATION" what chinese government did was to DO STH AGAINST CRIME. It should not be used as the word of "violated repression".

anyway, even this senator disclosed sth that was somewhat "fair" to china, yet, i still doubt if this could change the attitude or prejudice inside most of western audience.
Ha....ha.....ha........my friend, he is very rich, nobody need to pay him to say that, I respect him, u want he can buy u lunch,
The French senator has given an excellent, excellent argument. It's highly appropriate since Western media have drastically downplayed the violent nature of the pro-Tibetan protests and demonstrations. What I did find interesting is that of all the things the pro-Tibetan demonstrators could've targeted, they chose the Olympic torch instead of the Chinese government officials. The Chinese commoners' pride is attached to the torch relay and when you sabotage that, obviously, you stir very strong sentiments in the Chinese people because they will see the violent protests (trying to douse the torch, attacking a wheelchair athlete, etc.) as an attack against them. Imagine if London decided to have an international torch relay. If it passes through Beijing and Chinese citizens are burning England's national flag every few meters in protest against the violent torch relay protests held in London four years earlier, the British won't be very happy.
perhap sarkozy  fuck him?
