Some pretty cynical opinions expressed in that Irish discussion, but a valid point was raised; there does seem to be this 'them and us' mentality developing among both sides (lol, even I'm doing it!), which is quite disturbing and detrimental to co-operation. Whilst I applaud the sentiment of "...one world, one dream..." (even if it is quite naïve), the constant usage of 'you' and 'we' seems to be contrary to this sentiment. Of course, this is just a poem and shouldn't be over-analysed, but the fact remains that this line of thinking is quite popular at this present time, with Chinese and 'Westerners'.
