If you do not know that it is a lie then you need to wake up and actually read some of the news you have access to.

Hypocrisy is a human trait; it will always exist, just as justice will always be based one’s point of view of right and wrong.

When you ask what do we want, who are you asking? The US Government, all Western Governments, the people outside of China, or me; personally? And who are you to even ask? Can you make any of the changes that might be given in answer? Do you have any power at your disposal to change any aspect of China’s policies that you listed above? Are you even willing to try, should an answer be given?

In closing, I just want to remind you, and I hope this does not freak you out too much, but not everyone in your country, mine or any other WANTS peace on earth. There are people who believe that this world is not big enough. Nor even it was, would they give up fighting for a bigger piece of it.

What was so good about the article?

It reduced complex ideas into two line statements that most teenagers would be able to point out the flaws in logic.

If I do not understand you all, but you are unwilling to listen to what I have to say, then how can you correct me?

Why even ask me what I want, as the "good article" did?

If you are unwilling to hear what others have to say, they you are truly part of the problem. If you cannot stand to read an opposing view point, then what part of the solution do you expect to play?

I'm afraid I am not ethnicaly chinese, however I do live in Hong Kong.
I'd like to point out that the BBC and CNN have been producing nothing but repetitions of the 'offical stories' for years and years now, and do not attempt to indulge in hardly any proper investigative journalisim.
But this is what media is for. Not to provide an imformed public, but instead it's a tool to manipulate the masses and direct public opinion one way or another.
The only way forward as ever, is not to feel nationalistic, it is not the average person in Germany, UK, USA etc that makes these news casts - the average person simply watches them and therefore react to them - it is the media's fault and showing any anger felt towards the people of other nations is simply falling into the very hands of the media machines.

Event though the original author didn't exactly express the truth, I would like to take his or her article as a literary poem, not a piece of news or comment., which I think CNN and BBC usually confounded,  within which the author has the freedom to express his or her feelings about the partly truth. Maybe someone would not agree with the original author's feelings, especially westerners. I wonder what's your opion about the authors' two lines. Can you give something different to that and let us know more comprehensively about the westerners' opinions about Chinese? As to your six constant questions, the former two can be answered by yourself, you know who has said those. The third question made me feel another arrogant person. Should somebody  be forbidden to ask these questions? The rest questions indeed has no need to answer. We have no choice. So I say all Chinese who want to see the renaissance of China unite and work hard to construct our home, our courtry. LastDavid seemed to have been ingrained that China invaded XiZhang to extend its territory.  If it was true, I think that was the fact of thousands of years ago. All Chinese, don't let our fathers disappointed.

Sorry I cannot give you a comprehensive answer to westerners opinions about Chinese, and truly no one could. I could poll a few 100 people (and I am sure there are groups who do this daily), but I am not going to, as I really do not care what other's opinions are in this matter. I will only give you mine.

This is not true, I have no opinions on this action, as I have no details, and to be honest, I am not sure I care what the reasons were. If China invaded to extend it territory or because it liked view that it offered of the setting sun, both are acceptable. I am not saying at "might makes right" but much of history has been just that, one group of people defending what they want to call theirs, and I see no end to in the future.

You asked if someone should be forbidden to ask these questions? No ask away, however just like chewing bubble gum does not help solve math problems; asking questions when you are not going to act on the answer does not help solve the problem.

I do not hate China or her people. I believe that China along with all other governments and large groups needs to make headway in finding a balance between honoring traditions and taking advantage of new ideas.

My Dream is one where we do not live in perfect peace, but were people feel free to move about and live with others that share their beliefs, or where the view of the sun set is pleasing to them. There will be real humans in my dream world, so there will be crime, death and taxes, but my dream is that there would be more tolerance.

I would say to all people who want to see a renaissance where are "Unite and work hard to construct your home and your community in the vision of your dream."
