As a Tibetan, I'm deeply ashamed of what some of my fellowmen have done

This topic has been bump by TRuth-home at 15-9-2008 11:01.
Dalai Lama's clique in India and other countries are completely out of touched with Tibet. They have either left Tibet for a long time or they were born overseas. Many of them have not even been to Tibet at all! They do NOT, in any way, represent Tibet or the Tibetan people in China.  Many Tibetans people in China are very kind and forgiving and hence the still respect DL. However, DL has been making use of the kind people for his own ambition!

It is true that oversea tibetans are different from  those who live in Tibet.. One of the biggest differences between them is that  current Tibetan residents are former slaves while those oversea tibe ...
Yes, the former slaves / the former slave owners

This explains a lot about the riot's motivation
- stay hungry, stay foolish

To salt, meinu216, BadASS, ljh, panter92, Jigong, tintin1983, jacky2008525, shantal, redboy:

If you like to hear Tibetans express their opinions so much, ask the CCP to allow all of them to express their opinions. Allow them to stage peaceful demonstrations, and form political parties to influence how they are governed. Allow them to show Tibetan flags and own pictures of the DL (or anyone else they admire).

Most importantly, allow them to vote on something: perhaps on who should negotiate on their behalf with Beijing, or let them elect representatives to a regional assembly, or something. People in other autonomous regions around the world (Quebec, Scotland, Northern Ireland, Catalonia, the Basque country, etc) have these rights. Why not in Tibet? Are you afraid of what the majority might say if they were all allowed to speak freely?

to alberto2,

Sounds like one of the arrogant Americans, aint it true? Where did you get the sense of superiority from? We are typing this in your language and learning your culture to better deal with you.

As for Tibet, it will happen the second day after Native Americans get their land back and drive Europeans back to Europe; it will happen the second day after Native Australians get their land back and drive Europeans into the Pacific; it will happen the second day after Hawaiians get their kingdom back and drive Americans back to where they should be.

For a culture who voted for GW Bush for 8 years, you are not ashamed?
