I wonder how or whether western media is going to clean up this mis-report.  I’ll keep an eye on Australian TV channels.

This type of mis-report are not new in western societies, such as Canada where I live.   

If they desperately need to lie, or spread lies , no one can stop them, at the same time they can stop nothing of China's growing stronger movement.

well, ini the interview with ann curry, dalai made similar claims ("hundreds killed") and had to swallow the claim since ann curry kept asking the details

He couldn't stop, he can't control Tibetan Youth Congress, western just want utilize him as an anti-China tool, what a pitiful old guy.

Have a look at my post about Demographic Annihilation in Tibet claimed by Dalai Lama and his Tibet Gov in Exile.  This kind of deliberate lies have been in place for decades, and is habitually taken as facts by western media to support their hidden political agenda.

If he really didn't participate in plotting the violence and crime in lhasa, why dose he fabricate such a appalling death number? How did he know this number?

or did they say "DL (or someone else) said that hundreds were killed"?
it's a difference to me. but it doesn't seem to be a difference to you...

the western media also says that "(some idiot) denys that the holocaust ever happened". does this equal saying "the holocaust never happened"?

from what i remember he said that someone told him that number. but i'm not sure.
obviously he wasn't there to count them himself, as the CCP is too scared of him and doesn't let him in...
