Epoch Times Worst than CNN

Epoch Times Worst than CNN

Remember couple of weeks ago where people are saying Chinese military disguised as Tibetans during the riot based off on a false picture that was actually for a movie? I think the story originated from Epoch Times, a very anti-China website.

Here is the page where you can view all their stories about China: http://en.epochtimes.com/123,92,,1.html

And here's something they have on their main page: http://ninecommentaries.com/

The website is about "A Fresh Look at Our Changing World". I think it would be more appriopriate if it was "An False View at Our Changing World".

They have something about Falun Gong in this article, http://en.epochtimes.com/news/8-5-28/71094.html
Obviously, people who support China are "mobsters" in this event. But if you look at their coverage of Tibet riot, they're not Mobsters but victims. Yeah.. great double standards Epoch Times!

Here's another article where The Epoch Times showed the arrogant Western views, http://en.epochtimes.com/news/8-5-28/71101.html. Just look at the title and description of the article "A Westerner Defends a Chinese Woman in Flushing, Can the Chinese people get free of lies and violence?"

However, I doubt they'll ever say the same thing about the Tibet riot. "Can the Tibetan people get free of lies and violences" Blah blah blah..

This website sucks but it's the best place to dig up good Western lies about China.

Take a look and share your opinion please!

About the Falun Guang article

http://en.epochtimes.com/news/8-5-28/71101.html

I emailed feedback for the author as the following

"So I thought you guys support freedom of speech. But when freedom of speech are exercised by China supporters, they become mobsters. In your article, I did not notice you provided the main reason why these people protestered Falun Guang. Falun Guang claims that the Earthquake was caused by the Chinese Government. That the Chinese Government is using it as Olympic PR (which you obviously agree with). Isn't it a little dubious that China is so powerful as it can control and predicate natural disasters? Without providing the real reason behind the protest, you merely stated that they're only doing it because they are blinded by the Chinese Government.

At the very end of your article, you even applauded the Western woman's patrotism. That's some what haughty in my opinion because your entire article was vituperate Chinese patriotism but in the end you approve U.S. patroitism. Maybe I ask, are you American? Aren't you a little bias? "

Please do the same! http://en.epochtimes.com/tools/email_feedback.asp?id=71101 as there are so many things in this article that are worthy proves of how bias the West is (especially this website)

Btw.. has anyone see much news about Buddhist monks protesting Dalai Lama?

I looked at the origin of Epoch Times and I can tell that it wasn't intended to be objective at all. It's basically a mouthpiece for the anti-Chinese government organization.

I agree with Davo

I have receive unsolicit "news scripts" from Epoch Time. It's hust the mouth piece for Falun Gong, that speak nothing hatred of and lies entirely fabricated by themself. The Falun Gong was acult outlaw in China, but gain popularity in the West on vy posting themself as "victiims of "religion freedom". The finance source of the cult is doubtful. For a religiou cult is amazing theat they could insert their propaganda stuff into CCTV channels. If it is the standard that the material in this web-site should be legal in the PRC, I thing the material posted in this thread should be removed!

Falun the chief roponent of the "Karma" theory of Sichuan Quake

One thing I forgot to mention. As a cult of faked Buddhist origin. Falun Gong is the originator of the "Karma theory" for all the natural disasters that happened in China, not Sharon Stone. Should we allow Ms. Stone to explain why she had  such moroonic idea?

Surprisingly the author of the article actually replied my feedback. I have never gotten a response before and do not know if I should reply or just let it be. It's almost time for bed anyways so I'll just post his reply for everyone for now...

"The difference is in how the freedom of expression is exercised.

If the CCP supporters had expressed their disagreement in a legal manner, none of them would have been arrested.

There is, in fact, much evidence that the CCP did indeed have advance warning oif this earthquake, as well as others - the science of earthquake prediction is quite advanced in China. If some people are upset by the fact that the CCP apparently did not warn the population in general, surely this is understandable? Had more people been warned, more people might have survived.

No one claims that the CCP caused the disaster. But many Chinese scientists state that they predicted the earthquake, and many many Chinese people saw these warnings on the Internet. In fact, the CCP responded to the predictions by discounting them, shortly before the earthquake actually happened.

As for the patriotism of the Western woman, she risked he life to defend a foreigner and to defend the rights upon this nation is based.

China is not the CCP. The CCP is not China. The Chinese people and the five thousand years of Chinese culture are what truly constitute the nation of China. True patriotism is to defend the Chinese people, not the CCP. If the CCP were truly "patriotic," it would have taken better care to warn people of the potential earthquake; it would have built all public buildings to the highest standard; it would have rushed aid to the earthquake zone sooner than any other group could.

In fact, it did none of these things.

However, even if the CCP supporters in Flushing had expressed their opinions in the legally approved fashion, there would have been no problem. Throwing eggs, shouting threats, and physically attacking people are all illegal, and should be punished.

The Tuidang Center workers did not break the laws in expressing their opinions, so the police did not arrest them. Some of the CCP supporters did break the law and were thus incarcerated.

I do not equate support for the CCP with Chinese patriotism, but even support of the CCP can be expressed in this country - provided the speaker follows the law."

Any Chinese in North America knows that the Epoch Times is a freely distributed (i.e. you can get any copies as you want and use it however you want without paying a dime) newspaper that serves as a mouthpiece for the FLG cult. I wouldn't even try to reason with them because their political viewpoint has been predetermined, and strong too. Few non-FLG believers in North America would turn to the Epoch Times as a source for unbiased and subjective news reports.

same in australia, epoch times is just a mouth piece for flg

I was going to point out that the Epoch Times was a mouthpiece for Falun Gong, but it looks like people have already beaten me to the punch

They also have a program which airs on public access called "The New Tang Dynasty Channel" which is more of the same crap, but slightly less offensive.  What bothers me is how do they get so much funding?  Where is the money coming from?  Imagine if American cults had the money and resources to distribute a news paper and broad cast tv in major metropolitan areas!

Epoch Times is a news paper run by Falungong, what do you expect?
