I see it quoted quite a lot, but it seems to me that the place was breaking up before NATO stepped in and even then all NATO did was stop people being killed. My step-dad was in Italy during the crisis and all he did was prepare the aeroplanes for humanitarian air drops. Anyone care to shed light on an 'alternate' history for me?
