****“SOS” Victims in Strong Earthquake Need HELP!****

This topic has been highlight by coolface at 15-5-2008 00:20.
It would appear that the Myanmar/Burma aid relief situation is about to be resolved by the ASEAN states including China, Tiffany and Lizchin. I do not blame China for anything, and China, more often than not, does do the proper thing. My wife is Chinese and from Shanghai. Great city, by the way :-)

I, for one, hope that the west has learned its lesson from the mistakes of Iraq,  Afghanistan and Somalia, for example. And I share your thoughts and prayers for the people of Sichuan. Good luck to you all.

I had just made my donation to Tzuchi and my company will match 100%.  God bless brothers and sisters in Sichuan.

The U of R in Sask. Canada  has set up a booth to raise money for the earthquake victims. All the money will be donated to the Red Cross I encourage other institutions to do the same to help China in its time of need.

To Peterboyd

It is so pathetic that you blamed China government for Myanmar/Burma government's wrong doing.
It is even pathetic to blame USA government for British government's wrong doing in Iraq and around the world.
It is the most pathetic to blame Chinese stole your jobs in western developed countries;
while Chinese are all working so hard, you are having so many holidays and spent all your future money.

If people don't want your help, don't blame others and you only got youself to blame; surely you can also blame them not wanted your help.

I have absolutely no mood to argue with you.
My heart is completely broken and my eyes are filled with tears.
I condolence for those natural disaster victims and I pray for those still missing and those struggling in survival.

LyndonLarouche, it is clear to me that you have not understood a single one of my points, which makes any discussion with you somewhat pointless. However, to simplify the Myanmar/Burma issue, and without including any complicating factors, the Myanmar/Burma Junta could not act so malignly towards the citizens of Myanmar/Burma without the steadfast support of China at the UN, which is all that I am blaming China for. China could simply abstain, after all.

Furthermore: The citizens of Myanmar/Burma want help, but the Junta are stopping them from getting it, and much of what they do allow in, is stolen and diverted to the army and/or sold on the black market. China stole no western jobs. Because of their hard work, many Chinese can now afford to take foreign holidays to Europe and the US, for example. The British had the option to not get involved with Iraq and elsewhere, but decided otherwise, all by themselves.

In conclusion, if you have a civil and intelligent comment to make, please do so.

Some people simply don't know how to shut up!

"SOS - Victims in strong Earthquake need help!" How much clearer need it be? What is it  you do not understand? Why the need to muddle and sidetrack the central issue here?

It is "Donations to the victims in China's earthquake", stupid; not Myanmar, Rangoonm, UN Security Council etc.

Now if you have an issue eating at your craw - Burma, Myanmar or whatever crap you have, then start another thread!

A touching story. Extract:

Ang commended the Chinese government, police and locals who went out of their way to help them.

"The locals, who did not even have enough food for themselves, invited us to eat with them.

"They cooked porridge and sent it to us," said a very touched Ang.
