To all of you who think 1.3 billion Chinese are brainwashed and blindly believe CCP. No offense but your American way of thinking just make me laugh:

First of all, no Chinese I personally know believe in CCP's media, not even in China. When we want to find out about something, we use internet, no one watch Xinhua news anymore these days, at least no one from younger generation.

For the Tibet issue, as always CCP is making a stupid mistake here baning media from entering Tibet.But we didn't watch Xinhua to get truth, we search everywhere else and then concluded that it wasn't a peaceful demonstration, those violent monks deserve any forms of crack-down, that’s why we stand here to support our government in this issue.

What's more important here is that comparing to their communist counterpart,most western media are making a even more stupid mistake by reporting only oneside of the story - the monks' story. Their biased/distorted reports for Tibet are actually doing more damage to global human rights movement. They think they are helping the world by sacrificing their credibility, but unfortunately they are not,they are making this world an even worse place.

Frankly speaking, including myself, all my Chinese friends used to believe western media much much more than CCP's media, but now, what makes you think BBC/CNN is any way better than Xinhua? Now to us they are all propaganda.

How brilliant! The positive image of western media has shattered, just overnight.

Xinhua has nothing to lose, BBC/CNN and the whole western media just lost 1.4 billion supporters.

If you think "Who cares about those 1.3 billion, we got 4.7 billions more out here", think again, before you buy something "make in China".

I hope the intellectuals in Europe and North America realize that  the West, including western media, has lost the whole generation of Chinese who were won over by them through years of their effort. Now it has become extremely difficult for them to win back the heart and soul of the Chinese people as well as non-Chinese in Asia and other parts of the world. People all over the world are watching. They are not stupid. They know what the western media is up to. They can see clearly the double standard practiced by western media.

Noboy can't let us China think like their way. I can think and do things in our own way. Westerners use your way to want our Chinese people goes after you. All Chinese will tell you :"No way."  We just feel you are too laughable.

The exception may be Indians, especially the expats!
They seem distrust and not too willing to accept our extended hands of friendship.

The difference between the two is that the BBC has, if in your opinion inadequately, given air to the pro-China side of the story. During the London stage of the torch relay, the BBC interviewed a number of pro-CCP Chinese on the streets. In contrast, the Chinese state media, as well as most Overseas Chinese media did not give ANY airtime to the Dalai Lama's side of this media war.

although i don't like Xinhua, at least it is telling the truth.
