tibetan.chinabrocast.cn has been blocked outside China?
Internet blocking is not only happening in China. Below is the internet user ctenbp found out that in Franc China international broadcast company website Tibetan related pages for a month still can not be used. So he sent a thread in Anti-cnn, ask other Chinese does it work, the answers from Britain, Australia, Canada, France, Italy said 'can not open', the answers from China said 'can open'. They have photo copy the pages as proofs for the working and un-working pages. See original post http://www.anti-cnn.com/forum/cn ... 77079&extra=&page=1You can self try it out, below is the links from Tibetan.chinabroadcast.
Is Western contry ruled by law or by people??
Is free speech protect by law? Or people just think so??Reply 2# kukkaukkonen's post
It must be because 4th of July. Maybe those links are perceived anti-patriotic in the West.:lol the both sites cannot be opened in Ireland
[ Last edited by guc at 4-7-2008 06:11 ] that´s true.

HTTP 400 - Bad Request
Internet Explorer

It'd be interesting to know if anyone else in Asia elsewhere, Middle East, South America, and Africa is having this problem as well. We should try it in the third world and in Hong Kong, Macau and Taiwan.
Maybe there's something wrong with the domestic server.
CCTV can broadcast normally in those countries.
They needn't block a website in Tibeten, a language known by few in the west.
There is no doubt that free speech and free press are protected by law in the west.
[ Last edited by missingelm at 4-7-2008 15:10 ] I've tried three poxy servers in Hong Kong, Saudi Arabia and Bahrain.
None of them can open this website.
The probability of Internet blocking is very low. missingelm Thanks, for your post. I have changed the title of this thread into a question mark. Hope more people here can help solve this puzzle. :lol
Original posted by missingelm at 4-7-2008 14:43

There are many exile Tibetans live in many other countries, it is possible someone want them out of touch of the present China and the real situation in Tibet. And original poster ctenbp said that, these links are just stop working recent month. 'Free Tee Begs' want to keep the sharp spirit for the Olympic games, is possible the link would once again working after Olympic games.
I use Opera for great justice!
But it can't open it; here's the message:
Bad Request
Your browser sent a request that this server could not understand.
No idea what the hell it means, though. New information: Hong Kong also can open the pages. But Japan, Holland, Portuguese, Sweden, Finland 'can not open'. I tried the link and I know I can't open it. I guess United States is out too. Wahhhh, The Great Fire Wall outside China!!!!
They are scared. Freedom?
I am wondering what would Komica/Suanla would say about the GFW outside China.:lol :lol :lol
I am in USA
And I cannot visit those two sites. I got the same error message above. They have put their head in sands? I also can't open... where is my freedom? :'(Maybe the website can only be opened when you have a GFW like in China :lol
I know the UK and France have a Chinese like firewall but I didn't expect my country would not allow it.
Is there no other explanation to it? I know little about computer science but maybe it has something to do with encrypting? I am in the U.S. and I am able to open Tibet-related articles on the English-language version of China Broadcast.
