So you think Chinese are brainwashed?
To all of you who think 1.3 billion Chinese are brainwashed and blindly believe CCP. No offense but your American way of thinking just make me laugh:First of all, no Chinese I personally know believe in CCP's media, not even in China. When we want to find out about something, we use internet, no one watch Xinhua news anymore these days, at least no one from younger generation.
For the Tibet issue, as always CCP is making a stupid mistake here baning media from entering Tibet.But we didn't watch Xinhua to get truth, we search everywhere else and then concluded that it wasn't a peaceful demonstration, those violent monks deserve any forms of crack-down, that’s why we stand here to support our government in this issue.
What's more important here is that comparing to their communist counterpart,most western media are making a even more stupid mistake by reporting only oneside of the story - the monks' story. Their biased/distorted reports for Tibet are actually doing more damage to global human rights movement. They think they are helping the world by sacrificing their credibility, but unfortunately they are not,they are making this world an even worse place.
Frankly speaking, including myself, all my Chinese friends used to believe western media much much more than CCP's media, but now, what makes you think BBC/CNN is any way better than Xinhua? Now to us they are all propaganda.
How brilliant! The positive image of western media has shattered, just overnight.
Xinhua has nothing to lose, BBC/CNN and the whole western media just lost 1.4 billion supporters.
If you think "Who cares about those 1.3 billion, we got 4.7 billions more out here", think again, before you buy something "make in China".

Now it has become extremely difficult for them to win back the heart and soul of the Chinese people as well as non-Chinese in Asia and other parts of the world. People all over the world are watching. They are not stupid. They know what the western media is up to. They can see clearly the double standard practiced by western media.

The difference between the two is that the BBC has, if in your opinion inadequately, given air to the pro-China side of the story. During the London stage of the torch relay, the BBC interviewed a number of pro-CCP Chinese on the streets. In contrast, the Chinese state media, as well as most Overseas Chinese media did not give ANY airtime to the Dalai Lama's side of this media war. although i don't like Xinhua, at least it is telling the truth. We do are being brainwashed,but nobody have been brainwashed.Because all chinese students study English,we can read articles written in english on internet.And so many chinese go abroad that the oversea information will return to their homeland very quickly too.Through this way we can find the truth(or closing to the truth).But no other country has this advantage.Especially,the western people seldom know chinese language,so they are very easy to be brainwashed.We have seen this in the recent days. Anti-Frence, Anti-Carrefour. Olympics, go!
Tibet was,is and always will be a part of China.
We can not abide any country or orgnization...lie about Tibet, to reach their un-exposed purpose forever.
Beijing Olympics is not related with politics, it is just physical culture which is well-beloved all over the world. The western now says anti-olympics. It is un-welcomed by all the people who love peace. They anti because it is hold in Beijing China. They seems anti all the things from the rising and promising China.

Thank you for your comment. Let's be honest here, how often do you see BBC/CNN interviewing pro-China protesters? And how often do you see they air pro-Tibet protesters? I'd say 1 to 30!
But is there really that many pro-Tibet protesters out there? The fact is, number of pro-China protesters are at least 10 times more than pro-Tibet protesters any where around the world. BBC/CNN and most western media just keep ignoring this simple fact, they'd rather pointing their camera to the ground than shooting pro-China protesters ( you can see this quite often in their live broadcast in San Francisco, every time you see their camera pointing the ground, it's not because of their technical problem, it's simply because they can't find pro-Tibetans around them). So you tell me they are impartial, you tell me they are giving air to pro-China protesters? two points
1. Isn't chinese minternet severly filtered and monitored?
2. If the Chinese people were, as you asserted, clever why were they dominated for so long? That I think is a relevant question when you assert they arise due to thier cleverness. Or is that WESTERN MEDIA!? superlip, source on pro china outnumbering anti china? media have their own ways to operate ,to make them more acceptable to their readers, there is still a longway to go,and need public supervision and appealing.
