This thread was started upon themanagement’s request. What Tibet needs areschool and prison: school for the Tibetans, prison for the gods. Posting ofthis elsewhere is very much honoured.
Amongst the 14 generations ofinheritance, several Dalai Lamas died young. The cause is simple: conflict ofinterest, poisoning and assassination. That is why the Qing Dynasty administration set up the “Gold Urn system”for them,

as Emperor Qianlong couldn’t stand these lamas plotting against one another. Wecan see the hypocrisy of Theocracy ruling class, people addressing themselves“living Buddha” plotting, poisoning, assassinating for self-interest."
I had been travelling in Tibet, encountering lamas and civilians. Youwant to know why there are conflicts in Tibet? Let me tell you what I observed..
Before Communist China occupied Tibet, 95% of Tibetan populations were serf, with theremainders being lords (serf masters) and lama classes. In those days, every temple owned vastterritories of land and numerous serfs. Once a serf remains generations as serf. Serf-owners would amputate serf’s arms, or skinthem as offerings in their worship ceremonies. If you visit the History Museum in Tibet, you can still see Dalai 14th’s Skinning Order prior to his departurefrom Tibet.
Nevertheless those illiterate serfsworship their believer the “living Buddha”. You probably don’t realize that Dalai’s stool is one of the many Tibetanmedicines. The lordswelcomed and treated their guests by raping their female serfs, quite simple torationalize, they believed “sharing their women” was a gesture of hospitality.
Communist China carried out “LandReform” in Tibet, but in a harsh way. Like it or not, thelords had to surrender their land, release their serf, waive all debts. Land Reform commenced in 1957, soon aftercame the armed uprising in Tibet, with the lords protesting, ended with the Communist’s oppression, finally exileof Dalai. However, Panchen Erdeni didn’t run away, he chose to stay because hesupported the Land Reform.
This created a peculiar “tribalseparatism” : splitting of civilians and lamas hierarchy. If you visit Tibet, take a look at Tibetans inthe lower class. Inside of the home ofmany common Tibetan peasants and nomads, Mao’s pictures are often placed sideby side the Buddha’s for worshipping. Their ancestors were serfs, and Mao gave them their land andfreedom. Communist China’s policytowards minority provides subsidies to Tibetan education, medical care andhousing. That’s why average Tibetancivilians are not motivated for independence.
Lammas and former lords think theopposite way. They view Mao andCommunist China as ribbing them off from their land and wealth. On top of that, their ancestors or relativessuffered during the various Communist oppressions, either jailed or executed, leaving immense bitterness and hatred.
Therefore, walking on the streetsof Lhasa, youwill discover those who aggressively promote independence are either lamas or offspringof former lords.
These people carry on theirpursuit, and Communist China can do nothing about it as education is lagging behindin Tibet. Tibetan culture is retrograde, also reason oftheir humble worship of gods and spirits. Can you imagine one with master degree in Physics spending his time in atemple bowing to those Buddha figures for hundred thousand times? But Tibetans will. Tibetans will send their smartest kid tobecome a lama because in their tradition, there exists social classes withlamas being the top of the cream, and this is a typical characteristic of atheocracy community.
Such theocratic characteristics turnCommunists effortless towards lamas. Youprobably don’t know the living Buddha’s of each temple are enjoying specialsubsidies from Chinese State Department. In other words, the Communists are feeding the temples and itslamas. The spectacular temples shine ingold because every bit of gold is paid for by the mainland government.
However, this will not quiet thelams, simply despite whatever subsidy, they lost their former lands andefforts. They are discontent that nomatter how honourable, their social status diminishes.
Lama class is the biggest obstacleshould Tibetan wants a better future. You will be surprised to know Communist China is the one who wants todevelop Tibetan culture. It’s becauseTibetans of low intellectual levels are most obedient to lamas, most easilymanipulated.,
Therefore Communist China triestheir best to set up schools in Tibet. Graduates from Mainland who volunteersteaching service in Tibetfor a number of years will have their master or doctoral program study free. Universities in the Mainland admit Tibetanstudents with the lowest admission marks. However, running schools and hospitals in this land of an averagealtitude of 5000 metres above sea level, snow covered for half of a year is notthat easy. Tibetis 30 times the size of Taiwan, but with a population which is not even half that of Taipei. Spreading education to such scarcely populated nomads requires hugeinvestment.
Communist China’s plan is to raiseTibetans’ intellectual level, such that they go for inspection in a hospitalinstead of taking living Buddha’s stool for medication, then lamas won’t be aseasy to incite average Tibetans and ruling Tibet will be much easier. Of course, lamas will be out of place and outof power, which is a matter of “survival crisis” for them. That’s why schools and hospitals built byCommunist China were targeted in the recent riot.'
Lamas are against Tibetans becomingeducated. Will anybody with training inBiology approach lamas for stool medication? Lamas are not alone in obstructingscience education on earth. RememberDark Ages in medieval Europe or theecclesiastical tribunals? Spreading ofscience and knowledge will shake theocratic class. When Tibetans understand the Earth is a globerotating round the Sun, they will take a sceptical look on lama’s 18 levels ofhell on the far edge of the land.
Tibet is at the crossroadstruggling between modern civilization and theocratic civilization.
The same way the ecclesiasticaltribunal would definitely not pardon NicolausCopernicus and Galileo Galilei, they would never voluntarily see their way outof the stage of history, so are the lamas. Therefore in this process of collision of civilizations, disputes, explicitand concealed, peaceful and brutal, will not cease abruptly. Removingthe dressing of “Human Rights” and ”Freedom”, this is a battle between theocracyslavery and modern civilization. IfCommunist China really wants to manage Tibet for the good of it, letTibetans live a rich, modernized living, then it should build more schools andprisons – schools for the Tibetans, prisons for the lamas.
I recommend those of you on theinternet to visit Tibetyourselves, not on a tour, not just to temples. You should visit their villages, the pasture, the Tibetan wildlife, tobe in the midst of nomads and peasants, to observe their views towardsCommunist and Mao, their diligent labour, to see their amputated grandparentswho were once slaves, and their uncivilized humbleness. Then turn around to see the comfort living ofthe lamas, listening to their discontent towards the government, then youshould be able to tell who are really violators of Human Rights.
