To the western: Why I support my government?

I was born in a countryside in Anhui, China. I lived in China for 26 years until July 2006 when I came to Japan to work. In Japan, I can read all kinds of news about China, good news and bad news. I also hear news from my parents, brothers and friends who are still in China. The progresses made in China make me excited; I wish my country would become more strong and mature. I also realize there are many problems therein, some of which are serious and waiting to be resolved soon. For example, it is urgent to built roads that link the Chinese countryside, to deliver running water into the countryside, to help the poor to be rich. Now, the Chinese government is trying to achieve these, some of these have been well done. Democratic voting, this sounds good, but can it help my hometown be rich rapidly? I don’t think so. Then, why don’t I support my government? I can wait a democratic China for 10 more years.

It's no need to trust in some country who said they can save people from the "autarchy" country, because all of us can see, the happiness of people in Irap had forever gone, after their country was invaded by such crazy and cheeky robber!

Most of the western people don't know about China, and  they also haven't been in China. They know nothing but to support the people who are going to disrupt our coutry.
Are they ignorant? Maybe.

I agree with you. But i think that it is not the mistake of civilian in other contries such as Ameraica, Frence, and so on. Most of them can not come to China to inspect, What they know is only from Media of their contries. Actually, Some medias are also controlled or supported by some orgnization, which including special ones that unfriendly to China.

So we appeal that the medias tell truth, espcially CNN,BBC,etc. Duing your lies, the civilian become ignorant, you should reponsible for it.

Major misunderstandings in more than a century: East vs. West

(Note: this version is edited and distributed by Tom Miller)

When we were called the sick man of East Asia, we were taken as the Yellow Peril.
When we were propagandized as the next super power, we were taken as a threat.

When we closed our doors, you opened the market by smuggling drugs.
When we were believing in free trade, you scolded that we stole your jobs.

When we were torn into pieces, your army burst in and demanded a fair slice of the melon.
When we put pieces back together, you came in and clambered all over to help free Tibet.

Fine, then we tried to live by communism, but you hated us being under communist rules.
So we moved on and accepted capitalism, but you hated that too.

When we had 1 billion people, you said we were taking over the planet.
When we were implementing Family Plan, you said this was anti-human-right.

When we were poor, you looked upon us as dogs.
When we lent you money, you blamed us for adding to your debt.

When we were developing our industry, you said we were the world's main polluter.
When we were selling you our products, you blamed us for adding to the greenhouse effect.

When we were purchasing oil, you said that was exploitation and race slaughter.
When you launched a war for oil, you said it was liberalization.

When we were rioting, you wanted to take over and implement laws for us.
When we controlled riots according to our law, you said we were violating basic human rights.

When we stayed quiet, you demanded freedom of speech.
When were silent no more, you said we were brainwashed xenophobes.

When we were making products for you, you said it was polluting the environment.
When were stop exporting some products, you said it was trade protectionism.

When we asked, Why do you hate us so much?
You replied, No! We don鈥檛 hate you.

We then said we don鈥檛 hate you either, but do you even try to understand us?
Of course! you replied, we have media like AFP, CNN and BBC, etc.

What do you want from us?
Think about it carefully.

The answer is:
Because you think you are the only one deserving so many opportunities.

Enough! This world has been disingenuous enough.

We hope One World One dream, and the same peace of the planet.
This blue planet is big enough for us all!

I can't agree more. Even my own mother has some shortcomings, however, I still love my mother ,and I love this country.

falconli Posted at 18-4-2008 22:10

no matter what, my country defended us from foreign invasions, my country transformed my life, I couldn't afford to drink milk when I was young and now I spend tens of thousands a year studying aboard

she is not perfect, but she is my home, my motherland, I love my country and aint nothing is gonna change that

Why a Westerner Supports China

I am not from Chines origin nor have I ever set foot on the soils of China. But, I have seen what the West has done to their own aboriginal populations. I hate to admit this , but where I live, my dogs eat better than most aboriginal children. The Canadian Federal  government has practically given up on Aboriginals. As well, they have also given up on supporting French, their national language, in the West. Saskatchewan is at a boom right now, life should be improving, and education should be expanding, but it is not. It is ridiculous that the federal government should be starting treks in  Tibet, when out own people are suffering. We are  suppose to be one of the wealthiest countries in the world, and yet our streets are littered in poverty, drug addiction, and abuse. Perhaps the government is trying to detour people from problems that they are unwilling care for at home. This notion has sadden me, because of it, I have lost faith in my own governement.
