主题：为中国四川地震以及缅甸风灾募捐
时间：5月18日上午11点至下午6点
地点：曼彻斯特China Town凉亭及附近

You may be aware of the recent Burmese Cyclone and the devastating earthquake in Szechuan of China which took away over 100K souls and immediately put approximately half a million people in critical living condition.
Manchester Oriental Organisation Alliance (MOOA) is working closely with the British Red Cross to raise funds to help these people.
We are holding 3 events to raise money:
• 18th May – China Town
MOOA, local Chinese Residents in Manchester and Chinese university students together with members of China Town Business Association will be collecting donations in China Town throughout the day.
• 6th to 8th June – Plattfields
Friends of Plattfields have very kindly allowed us launch a Wishing Tree during their Feast event where a family picnic project is being held. MOOA and British Red Cross will have stalls near the Wishing Tree for people to write their wishes on a strip of plastic and throw it onto the Tree until it hangs and stays there. We will also be collecting donations throughout the 3 days and all proceeds are earmarked to go to the Chinese and Burmese Aid Fund.
• On Monday 9th June at Manchester 235 Casino – near the Hilton hotel
MOOA is organising a community event from 7 p.m. to midnight. Free Chinese buffet will be served and there will be entertained with traditional and other events.
Throughout the evening we will be collecting for the Chinese and Burmese Aid Funds. Please give generously.
